Our Mission and Guiding Principles
Academy Ranches views its mission as changing the lives of struggling youth and their families within the framework of the following guiding principles:
- Kids can do remarkable things if they have remarkable things to do!
- Nothing is impossible if you know what to do!
- Reality is the best counselor, especially if there is a caring guide nearby!
- The best thing for the inside of a kid is the outside of a horse!
- Dare to be the best you can be!
- Farm/Ranch life has an incredible capacity for teaching and training in the areas that really matter: Love and respect for others, kindness and compassion for all creatures great and small, work works wonders, planting and caring come before the harvest, and one learns to do by doing!
